L.E Wilson Sizing Die Bushing - 363"
The L.E Wilson Sizing Die Bushing is an interchangeable part for the L.E Wilson Bushing Neck Sizing Die (in various calibres) and the Bushing Full-length Sizing Die (in various calibres). The Bushing is designed to size the cartridge case neck to grip the bullet with just the desired amount of neck tension.
To determine the size of the bushing needed, measure the diameter of a loaded round's neck and subtract .002” to .003” from that value.
Compatible with other bushing dies, including Redding.
Another way to determine the size of the bushing required is to measure the average wall thickness of your case, multiply that by 2 and add the bullet diameter (all in thousandths of an inch). Then subtract .002" to .003" from that number to allow for some spring back and sufficient neck tension.
Example: Measured average case wall thickness of .012" x 2 = .024", plus .243" bullet diameter = .267" less .003" = a nominal bushing size of .264"
We suggest you buy at least three bushings around the calculated number; one of the nominal size, one (or two) smaller and perhaps one bigger. Too much tension is better than too little, since too little is easily none at all!
L.E Wilson Sizing Die Bushings are compatible with other brands of bushing dies, including Redding.
